[ Kenya | London | Nairobi | Masai Mara | Amboseli | Lamu | Rift Valley | Vehicles | Photos ]

Recently I took a vacation in Kenya, and these pages describe the trip. Visiting Kenya was an awesome experience that I would recommend to anyone. I was there for about three weeks, and while I was there, I visited a Game Reserve, some National Parks, and Lamu Island on the coast. I left for Kenya a few days after terrorists bombed United States Embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on 7 August 1998. World events during my vacation were the only down point of the whole trip.

I spent six hours in London, England on the way to Nairobi.
A few minutes from downtown are the Nairobi National Park and The Giraffe Center.
The Masai Mara National Reserve in the southwestern corner of Kenya extends into Tanzania as the Serengeti National Park.
Amboseli National Park in south-central Kenya is famous for elephants.
Lamu Island has empty beaches, beautiful weather, and great seafood.
In central Kenya the Rift Valley offers spectacular scenery and a chain of lakes, canyons, and valcanoes.
Here's how to get around in Kenya: jets, planes, jeeps, and boats.
This directory listing contains links to all of the photos, but in cryptic form.

I want to thank my guide, hostess, and travel agent Linda Kutzer and my guide, host, and driver Ed Kutzler for letting me stay at their place, carting me around, and showing me the county. Without their help the trip would have been much more challenging.
Thanks for the visit.
